Hello all, you may be wondering why SRMF is in “maintenance mode”.
Simply put, the website got off to a great start in 2009, and don’t get me wrong, it was an amazing community to be a part of. However, we did suffer some trouble and grief from a few individuals but this was swiftly dealt with. It was going well until around late 2010. People stopped visiting and posting on the site dropped. Rather than 10 new posts a day, it was becoming common for 10 posts a week if we were lucky. It became rather depressing to watch this happen, especially during 2011 when the site was truly dying. Sadly, I have decided that SRMF has ran it’s course, so I am killing the forum off. If you need a reason, it’s lack of activity. It’s the lack of activity from the userbase that killed the forum. Rather than keeping it alive, it killed it. Sad, but there seems to be nothing we can do. If you’re looking for a place to continue, I can solely recommend either SiF (sodor.proboards.com) or PW (permanentway.proboards.com).
